Independence & conflicts of interest

The Chrono Edit is editorially independent of every brand, retailer and dealer it covers. We sell no watches and hold no inventory. We may earn affiliate commissions on outbound links (see our affiliate disclosure), but commercial relationships never influence which products we recommend, how we rank them, or the verdicts we reach. We do not accept payment for coverage, placement, or a favourable review.

Sourcing & accuracy

• Every factual claim — specifications, prices, historical facts, value data — is grounded in a verifiable source such as an official spec sheet, certification body, market-data platform or auction record.
• We never state a price, spec or figure from memory. Where a number cannot be verified, we write that the data is unavailable rather than guess.
• Pricing in this market moves quickly. Prices are presented as sourced ranges with a "verify current pricing" note, and money-sensitive pages carry a "data as of" date.
• Investment and value content is general information, not financial advice, and says so on the page.

What qualifies as a hands-on assessment

A review reflects genuine hands-on assessment conducted against our published testing methodology. Where our access to a watch was brief rather than long-term, the review discloses that scope. We do not publish re-packaged press releases as reviews.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly and transparently. Material corrections are noted on the affected page. If you believe something we've published is inaccurate, please contact uswith the details and a source, and we'll review it.

Update cadence

• Pricing, investment and where-to-buy pages: reviewed roughly quarterly.
• "Best of" roundups: refreshed at least annually, with picks and links re-verified.
• Affiliate links: audited periodically for dead products and expired offers.

Every page shows a visible "last updated" date so you always know how current the guidance is.

Sponsorship & paid placement

We do not run paid placements disguised as editorial. Should we ever publish genuinely sponsored content, it will be clearly and unambiguously labelled as such and kept separate from our independent reviews and rankings.
